Tuesday tidbits

:: ivy ::

 01.  Ivy got a new belt over the weekend.
(we've been on the lookout for a long time for one)
She is totally obsessed with it.
Has worn it everyday - regardless of whether she needs it or not.
Yes, today she is sporting it with leggings.
I pick my battles.   

02.  She is so into fashion.
While my family was up she gave us quite the fashion show of her trying on all different clothes combinations.
To be honest, most of them were darling and well put together.
You should have seen the kitchen floor and her room afterwards though.
Woah mess.

03.  Every day she asks, "what's today?" "what do we do on this day?"
Usually my answer is Monday/Tuesday/etc. Just play, we just play today.

04.  A couple weeks ago we made a deal with her that if she stayed in her room at night for three nights she could pick out a toy at Target.
She was on board, although it took longer than three days.
(one of the nights she just couldn't do it and said she would try again the next night. ha)
Well she got her toy,
(no our sleeping problem is not fixed)
but she picked out a Tangled play doh set and she loves that thing so much.
She requests to take it everywhere with her....
even made the journey to St. George - she was so excited to show Addie and Ammy!

05.  The other night she said to me,
"Do you know I love my blanket? It keeps me warm. Did you know I love Jesse dog?
He keeps me safe in the dark at night."
For some reason these two sentences almost brought me to tears.
I had to hurry and type it into my phone before I forgot.

:: olive ::

 01.  Olive in a top knot just about kills me.
Dead.
Makes her look so grown up.
(I'm in denial that she really is growing up...and fast)

02.  Thankfully the top knot is the easiest way to do her hair.
She still hates me to do it. I have to preoccupy her and if I'm lucky she won't completely scream her head off.

03.  When you tell her she's a princess she says,
"no, I Olive"
The other night I said, "I love you Olive Grace"
and she got mad and said, "No! I Olive!"

04.  She always copies everything Ivy says....only a second after.
It's so funny, but so cute too.
She wants to be just like her big sissy.

05.  She loves having her babies/animals wrapped in a blanket.
(as I type this she is sitting by me with a dog wrapped up - rocking it side to side)

When she's tired she Stands on her head upside down on her blanket.

:: mae ::

 01.  Mae loves me!
Her eyes are always on me.
If she cannot see me in the room she gets a little fussy.

02.  She is constantly pulling at my necklace,
or playing with it while nursing.
I probably should invest in one of those teething necklaces.
(some are kind of stylish right?)
Also, check out that tooth!!!

03.  She also grabs my neck really tight when I'm holding her as if I'm going to drop her.
I have red marks and new scratches daily.

04.  She love love loves taking baths.
Always kicking all over the place when she's in there.
If only she took them more often.
(third child problems)

05.  Poor girl has another lingering cough.
Makes me so sad. Coughing babies are the worst.
