Surprise package

*excuse me while I play some major catch up here.

it's usually impossible for me to be up to date during the holidays with all that is going on....

but now that its over - I'm wishing I would have made it a priority.

Although I'm afraid to say it might not be as daunting as I thought since I took maybe a total of 

20 pictures of my regular camera

(dang iphone...such a curse, yet such a blessing)

So just know the majority of these posts will be coming from the trusty phone.

{December 8}

Early December the girls got a pre Christmas package from Ammy Phoebe.

(they seriously have the best Grandma's on both sides -- always sending holiday packages to them)

Inside did not disappoint.

A darling handmade advent countdown to St. George,

and new ornaments....

they couldn't have been more fitting - "colorfee cupcakes" is what Ivy screamed when she saw them.

Oh how these girls love their sugar.

 It was a little difficult to explain to them that they couldn't immediately open every single gift right then and there, but that they had to actually wait until the following morning to open the first one.

With a little whining and some bribery on my part they finally realized I wasn't going to budge this time.

 Of course first thing Sunday morning

(the following day)

the girls couldn't wait to open their first bag....

and to be honest I was just as exctied.

Each morning it was the first thing they did,

next to looking for Ginger,

we had so much fun doing this.

I wasn't good at documenting what was inside but they were always fun little trinkets,

puzzles, socks, pez, bracelets, chocolate, books, etc.

Thanks mom for putting the work into this - 

I wish you could have seen their face each morning,

or heard the things that were said,

I hope I will always remember Ivy's little voice saying,

"mama, this is so nice of Ammy to do"

or, "look what Ammy gave us today, I love this soo much"
